Sigs can be no higher then 250 pixels. And that's cumulative. I've provided a visual:

Now, be good and keep your sigs in size.

You guys should know this by now. But to reiterate:

Last warning until I start PMing people.

Posting here so I can drag the ghost-image as a measuring stick...
Dexter Season Two was like Death Note all over again, except I never did take a side. And, you know, a lot more sex. I don't think the remaining two seasons can live up to that standard, but we'll see.

Word of warning: If you don't change the size of your signature, Beat will personally track you down, and bludgeon you with his skate board until you do. I'm serious. The tread marks will be there for weeks.

^Oh... what a lovely mental image you've given me.
Mine is definitely over 250 pixels high, but it's not about to crash any browsers (seeing as it's almost ridiculously simple), so I'm going to assume I can keep it. |
|
|
I'm pretty sure mine is good >.>
Mostly I'm just posting here so I can be sure. |

I think my Chili Peppers one is exactly 250 high. I measured it but something might've gone wrong.

All Images together, have to equal 250, not just the one image by itself. “PS—Why, yes, I can in fact capitalize any words I desire. The language is English. I am English. Therefore mine is the opinion which matters, colonial heathen.” ~Jim Butcher |

Yeah..if we can manage it, we're gonna try to find a way to code it so that sigs exceeding the limits will become scrollboxed.

Right, time to delete. |

I need some help: I'm trying to post an image in my siggy and although the link is showing, the image of it isn't. I put the image code around it and tried all the other symbols as well but it won't show up. It's under 250 pixels and although it stretches across the screen, it's not too big to run off the page. I can't understand what it is I'm doing wrong.

Whats the image link? “PS—Why, yes, I can in fact capitalize any words I desire. The language is English. I am English. Therefore mine is the opinion which matters, colonial heathen.” ~Jim Butcher |

This: http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll23 ... rachel.jpg The measurements fit the screen, but maybe I need to remove one image or something. I'm going to put text underneath it and that worked out ok but when I put the image code around the link, the shorthand name for image showed up beside it and nothing else changed. I put the image code around it briefly in this post to see how it would look and it showed up and it left a tiny little gap before the edge of the screen, so it does fit. It's all very odd. ![]() |

![]() Works for me. “PS—Why, yes, I can in fact capitalize any words I desire. The language is English. I am English. Therefore mine is the opinion which matters, colonial heathen.” ~Jim Butcher |

I quoted this so I could see what codes you put around it to see if I was doing anything wrong and I did everything right so I don't know why it won't show. I've put images up here before so I don't get it. It works in public posts but when it's in a sig, it just shows the link with the [img] code around it. If it can work on the board, then why can't it work in the user control panel? ![]() |

^^
Try it now. Forum settings automatically lock out images larger than 600px wide for signatures, and that was 642. Since the signature field on the forum is a tad wider, I went ahead and expanded the limit to 650. |
|
|
Thanks, Zax, it's working now! In the User Control Panel, it was cut off a bit but it all showed up properly when it was posted on a wider screen (just in case anyone else tries to upload similar things).

*necros* Can we have a bigger sig than 250x250 if we put it in spoiler tags?
![]() |
|
I s'pose. People are constantly breaking the 250 limit, but we're still intending to "force" the limit. Spoiler tags, however, should keep it all well within the limit. Just a matter of finding the proper coding and putting it in place. |
|
|
Thanks, Zax. I wanted to put the enlarged version of my sig. Comedic effect, you know? XD
![]() |

The spoiler tags would add to the effect, I think. A person will be just scrolling along, see it, click, and WHAM! |

Over the Next Few Days Mini-Mods will be PMing those user's not conforming to this Signature Rule.
Those who Fail to change their Signature 48 hours AFTER they sign in and read the PM will have their Signature Removed from their Account. (History, I think you need to make the font Smaller.) “PS—Why, yes, I can in fact capitalize any words I desire. The language is English. I am English. This is fine, right? Both the Internetometer + Sig pic are less than 250 pixels when added together. Can I leave the Kirby pic in and have my sig still fit regulations?
Oh, yeah- the pic says 'Ganondorf 5326' because I was using it for a different forum, where that is my username. I'll change it as soon as I can get ahold of the friend that made it for me. |
