we all know that the twilight fandom has its share of wackos, but what about us, the antis? in the same way that there are sane twilight fans, there are insane antis. do you know of anything horrible antis have said about smeyer, fangirls or the actors in the films?

this was inspired by a really horrid thought i had, partially brought on by anger caused by me reading these essays someone on DA wrote about the politics of rape and how it affects both the attacker and the victim. the thought was this in a nutshell: i wish smeyer got raped or abused or even both. this terrified me and spurred me to make this thread.

bottom line: have you or someone you've met encountered antis that are just as insane if not moreso than twitards?

NOTE FOR MODS: i decided to put this thread here as it's a serious issue related to twilight. if i got the categories wrong, feel free to move it

I generally try to be nice to sane fans. In fact, a few of my real life friends are fans. I try not to berate fans in general, and don't even use "Twitard." That said, it irks me when people call Meyer fat. Yes, her outfits do make her look heavier, and there's nothing wrong with pointing out poor outfit choice, but saying she truly is obese? If you look at pics of her in normal attire, she seems to be about the right weight for her age. Besides, isn't hypocritical to rag on the series for putting heavy emphasis on appearance, and then insulting an author on her own looks? Though, to tell the truth, it may be less about Meyer and more about me being sensitive to weight-based teasing thanks to me being mercilessly bullied for my weight in junior high, so weight is a touchy subject that sometimes even causes me to cry.

I guess the whole "All Twitards are emo fatties with no life" could count. It's just the same as Twitards saying "All anti's are ugly males!". The majority of Twitards I know are skinny/average weight, and almost none of them are emo.

Anytime someone wishes death on Meyer; as bad as a writer she is, wishing death on her is too much.

I say a lot of unflattering things about Twitards and Meyer herself, but I'm an equal opportunity dickhead so it's not like its anything special. There's plenty of sarcasm and vitriol to go around.

Yeah, the harshest thing I ever said about the one responsible for this mess is that I called her a Mormon Wench. It was slightly uncalled for, but a fact's a fact.

I guess I said a few things that were uncalled for... I forgot what already but whatever. I hate when an anti assumes you're a freak just because you like twilight :\ my best friend is a fan of the book and she's pretty sane.

I'm mostly annoyed with people going on and on and on about Edward being a "faggot." First of all, I hate that word! I hate it when the word "gay" is used as a derogatory term and when people use that on Twilight, it's just as bad as when Twihards say that we're "gay" or any other fandom is "gay."

It bugs me when people wish death on people in general just because they don't like what they do in their field. I've seen posts in other forums that want Taylor Swift to die because they hate her music. Yeah, I'm sick of her too, but she's still a human. The ones that tend to suffer this the most are political figures. I don't care if you hate Republicans or Democrats or any other party- they're still people, and unless their decisions truly do threaten the lives of others and are truly selfish and evil and all that, it's wrong. That's probably one of my biggest pet peeves, even more than when people use "retard" as an insult (I've worked with retarded kids before, so I find it offensive even if it's silly, like how some people find "gay" as an insult offensive).

Same here. I say a lot of things I don't mean, just to get a reaction or to vent.

An unpleasant and sickening odour crept up the staircase.
Upon the door being burst open, a legion of rats scampered in all directions.
The greater portion of the body of the poor girl had been devoured by the rats.

I try to keep most of my harsher critacisms towards the actual characters and not real life people. I hate the characters and wish they would die, but they are fictional. I wouldn't want a real life person to be hurt because of Twiblight either anti or fan.

I am a bit disterebed when people say they want to burn the books, though. I am against censorship in all its forms, and while the books are painful for me to read that does not mean that other people can't enjoy them. It only gets problematic when they take the books to far and become obsessed over them. However, this is not really the books fault but the fault of the person reading it. They need to calm down a bit that is all.

The only time I have ever talked about burning Twilight books was when I ran up against a Twitard who wanted to turn Australia into a Twilight-ruled state, with Twilight the only book taught in schools.
I blew her mind with a V-style lecture on how it would quickly dissolve into chaos, and that I'd be there, waiting in the wings with my guy fawks mask on, and the revolution would be over in a minute. I think I scared her. Certanly, she steers clear of me now.

^I don't like the fact that people labels themselves by their sexuality, rather than their personalities.

Back on topic, I always say things I don't mean. Spur of the moment and idiocy combined is me in a nutshell. But, I don't antagonize the fan to try and subvert my opinion down their throats just because I can, on the other hand, if there's already a fray and I happen across it, expect an input from moi.

Agreed. I saw a picture of Alan Tudyk wearing a shirt saying "Twilight is gay" and I lost some respect for him.

I personally don't know any insane Antis. I don't like how Antis act the same as the Twitards, as it stoops them to their level, and I treat them as I would a Twitard. I wish people would just come to their senses.

Also, I've said that Twilight and extremist Twilight fans suck male Cybertronian genitalila. Trust me, who would want to stick their mouths into something pipe-like, tastes like metal, and might get reproductive Energon jelly in their mouths in order impress a dumb Pixie-Vampire hybrid and/or a sissy Werewolf? They make me sick with a 108F fever.
